What is Tackable?
Excellent question!
Tackable is a photo assignment and sharing platform. Anyone can create assignments asking for specific photos, which their followers complete using the iPhone app. Tackable also supports video and text.
After providing your email address, you’ll get an email with a link that will let you reset your account information. If you have trouble, contact us at play@tackable.com.
How can I change my username?
Good question!
If you wish to change your username, you can change it right in the app, in your profile page. Tap the “More” tab on the bottom navigation bar to get to your profile page.
How can I change my profile picture?
Smart question!
Tap the “More” tab on the bottom navigation bar and edit it right in your profile page. If you sign in with Facebook, please note that once you override your Facebook photo, it will stay overridden.

What is an assignment and where do I find them?
I like the way you think…
An assignment is a request for photos or videos. These appear in the “Assignments” tab in the bottom navigation bar. You can access recent assignments related to you in the “My Feed” tab, group assignments in the “Follow” tab, or assignments you created in the “Profile” tab.
Assignments also appear on our website, but more on that soon!
How do I create an assignment?
Ah yes, about that…
You must be in the “Assignments” tab. Once there, tap on the new assignment button in the top right of your screen (it looks like a red “+” sign).
Just follow the instructions. When you’re done, you will be able to see your new assignment at the top of the “Following” list. If you put it right where you are right now, it should also show up in the “Nearby” list, too.

What group should I select for my assignment?
Wow, what a question…
Groups consist of two or more people creating official group assignments. Everyone is a member of the “Tackable” and your assignment will post to this group by default. If you own a group, you can post your assignments there so your group’s followers can see it.

How do I get back responses for my assignment?
Good thinking…
The more people you share the assignment with, the better chance you have of receiving what you requested. Promote your assignment on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Read it Later, Pinboard, etc.!
If you have your own group, be sure to get your friends and community to follow that group!
How do I respond to an assignment?

You can click the camera button located in the assignment’s photo list. Or, you can also click the assignment title, which will take you to the assignment’s details. Tap the “Submit a Report” button on that page.
You have the option of submitting a library photo, or shooting a live photo. Most people find live photos and video much more credible and exciting.
Where can I see my photo?
Important to know!
Once your photo or video has been uploaded, it will bring the assignment up to the top of the Following list, in the “Assignments” tab. Your photo will be right in there. You can also see your photo in your profile page.
You can also view your photo on the website… more on that soon!
(Note: uploading a photo may take a couple seconds or several minutes depending on your connection. Uploading photos and video is especially in crowded situations at major events.)

Groups consist of two or more people creating official group assignments. Groups can represent official organizations (for example, the KQED News group) or a group of people who share a common interest (for example, the East Coast Cat Enthusiasts group).
If you’d like to form your own group, please email your request to play@tackable.com or use the “Contact Us” tab on this website.
How do I Follow somebody / add somebody to My Feed?
Atta way!
If you see someone posting photos or comments, tap their picture to get to their profile page. From there, tap the +Following button.
Now you’ll see what they’re doing in your “Activity” feed tab when they comment or post new stuff.
How do I find an assignment my friend created?
This is how we do it!
Follow your friends for quick access to their profile. You can view that assignments that somebody created by tapping the assignments statistic in their profile.
You will also see everything posted by the people you follow in your “Activity” feed tab.
Why do I want to follow a group?
Fair question.
You will not be able to see a group’s content in your Following assignment tab or Activity Feed unless you follow them.
How do I follow a group?

Visit the Follow tab on the main navigation bar and look for groups that interest you. Click the following button (it might take two taps for the following button to work).
Can I make my own group?

How do I view the rankings?

Tap the “Profile” tab on the main navigation bar. Then tap the “Setting” button below your profile bio. Look for the notification settings and tap them to toggle them on and off.
Can I save photos to my library?
Can you?!
Tackable will automatically save all the photos you capture via Tackable to your device’s photo library. You can turn this off in your Profile Settings page.
If you would like to save a photo that somebody else submitted, then hit the mail icon underneath the photo to send it to yourself.
Troubleshooting & Support
I am at a gigantic event and having problems with the app. Help!
Well then…
Cell tower bandwidth can be a problem at major events with thousands of people all using their cell phones at once. We suggest you take videos and photos with the native iPhone camera, then upload them as soon as possible.
My app is not responding as normal. Help?
Gah! The pain!
Try restarting the app. Here’s how to do that:
1. Click the home button to go to your home screen.
2. Double-click the home button to display the recently accessed applications.
3. Press and hold any of the icons shown.
4. Tap the red circled minus button next to Tackable.
5. Open Tackable again.
I am still stuck! Help!

Download Tackable from iTunes, tap the “Create a new account” button, and just follow the easy instructions!
